Contour Lines, Elevation Markers, or Graphic Symbols for 2D Topography

Hi, folks! This software is amazing!
Even so, I have a feature request that I believe could greatly enhance the software: the implementation of contour lines, elevation markers, or even graphic symbols like triangles and arrows to indicate terrain elevation. While the current shadowing technique provides a general idea of elevation, these additional methods could offer a more precise and quantifiable representation.

This would be especially useful when exporting maps. To illustrate, ◀️◀️◀️ on a side of a hex/square could indicate an elevation of +3 westwards. With contour lines, that would be three thin lines crossing the square/hex vertically. And, with numbers, an average height in relation to the water level could be indicated inside the grid cell.

To further clarify, in areas with many elevation changes, using graphic symbols like arrows on each side of a grid cell could make the map visually cluttered. On the other hand, in more uniform areas like plateaus, using numbers could be more visually cluttering, as many cells would have the same numerical value.

This is something I've been searching for in mapping software for nearly two decades, and Dungeon Alchemist seems exceptionally well-suited to implement such a feature. I understand that software development is a complex process, but I believe these additions could add significant value to your already outstanding product.

Thank you for considering my suggestions. I eagerly look forward to any updates and will continue to enjoy using Dungeon Alchemist in the meantime.

Best regards,
P.
