There are many dungeon maps that traverse many different levels, but there are no overlapping structures. It would be great if there was a straightforward way to make these maps and export them with a single image and single json file containing lighting and wall information.
Currently, the multilevel functionality will export multiple separate json files containing the wall and lighting info for each separate level and similarly, will export different images for each level. But theoretically, since there are no overlapping structures, you can see the entire map from the upper levels, so you should be able to just use that image and have a single export of lights/wall information to go with it.
Current problems:
1) There is a forced perspective that happens on upper levels and thus changes the size/position of walls/etc on lower levels. It would be nice if there was a way to export an upper level image WITHOUT that perspective change.
2) The JSONs are exported per level and even if you manually combine them, because of the way the perspective changes the lower levels, they will not line up properly with the image.
Ideally, we could export a flattened version of a multilevel map containing all of the floor levels combined into a single image, with no perspective adjustments, and with a single json file containing the light/wall info.
I've attached an example map I tried to create. You can see that it contains cave levels at the lowest visible point and climbs up like 6 levels at its highest point, with no overlaps and no reason to not show it all at once.
