A fence made of chained bollards

right now the chained bollards are only treated as single objects.. my experience of them is that they are used to fence areas or monuments… by having multiple chains run through as many bollards and make a fence, (entire or partial as may be.)
we have wooden fences, hedges.. why not have one made of chained bollards?
doing it manually puts at best 2 bollards next to one another as they cannot overlap and be reduced to 1 bollard holding up 2 chains..
