I’ve seen the posts arguing what could be done to better the performance, and the responses about not being able to use many optimizations because of the modality of the assets and the perfomance impact this entails.
I’m unsure if this is possible, but I thought if you could enter/toggle a “play-mode”, where all assets are marked as static (except player characters and enemy models), making optimizations such as draw call batching, assets culling, or baked in lighting possible, improving perfomance (hopefully) significantly. Especially with big maps with many custom assets, it’s most of the time almost unusable for live play because of the lag.
