In addition to brains of onions and garlic could we also have apples, pears, grapes, and plums strung through there centers and bunched up and left to hang in the rafters? also sacks of cheese cloth for hanging loose berries. This would be how you get dried fruit. I also think you can slice apples and pears and thread them onto thin ropes/string to dry.
