Currently the walls we have occupy one of four potential sides on a 5 ft square tile. Making thin wall structures, which are good for interiors and accessible regions for players.
However, an option for thicker walls that fully occupy a 5 ft square would be very welcome, and has also been suggested multiple times over the past several years, so I thought I could bring it back to light a bit with my own suggestion.
These kinds of walls would be good for filling in areas that people will not try to access or for regions of a map that are still visible to players, yet are not meant for traversal. Think Pillars, The backs of Staircases, Fortifications, It would decrease the overall struggle for those who use dynamic lighting (Thin walls are very hard to manually create lighting for in cases where it fails) and gives a lot more aesthetic options that are easily recognizable in game without exposing hidden elements to players. Which the current multi-level system will struggle with until Transparency is added.
